SMS Terms of Service

1. Program Name and Description

The George Family Orthodontics SMS Messaging Program provides text messages to patients, parents, guardians, prospective patients, and other individuals who have agreed to receive them.

Messages may include:

Information about George Family Orthodontics and our services.
Marketing and promotional messages.
Special offers and orthodontic promotions.
Contests, giveaways, and community-event information.
Opportunities to schedule a consultation.
Office news and announcements.
Patient education and general oral-health information.
Requests for reviews, surveys, or feedback.
Other messages related to George Family Orthodontics.

Appointment reminders, scheduling communications, account-related communications, or other informational messages may also be sent under a separate consent or as otherwise permitted by law.

2. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies.

The number and timing of messages may depend on promotions, office announcements, events, your interactions with us, and other program activity.

3. Message and Data Charges

Message and data rates may apply.

Your wireless carrier’s standard message, data, and other charges may apply to messages sent or received under the program. Contact your carrier for information regarding your mobile plan.

4. Opting Out

You may cancel at any time by replying STOP to any George Family Orthodontics text message.

After you send STOP, you may receive one final text message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive messages from that messaging program unless you opt in again.

We may recognize other reasonable opt-out language as required by applicable law. To help ensure that your request is processed correctly, we recommend replying STOP.

Opting out of marketing messages may not opt you out of separate, nonmarketing communications such as appointment reminders, treatment-related information, billing communications, or other messages that you have separately requested or that we are otherwise permitted to send.

6. Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and is outside the control of George Family Orthodontics. Wireless carriers do not guarantee that alerts or messages will be delivered.

The program may not be available through all carriers or on all devices.

7. Supported Carriers and Devices

Participation requires a text-message-enabled mobile device and a supported wireless carrier. Program availability and functionality may vary by carrier, device, location, and service plan.

You are responsible for maintaining access to your mobile device and for all charges imposed by your carrier.

8. Changing or Reassigning Your Number

If you stop using, cancel, transfer, or reassign the mobile telephone number enrolled in the program, you agree to opt out before discontinuing use of the number.

You may opt out by replying STOP or by contacting us directly.

You agree not to hold George Family Orthodontics responsible for messages delivered to a person who later acquires a telephone number that you previously enrolled.

9. Privacy

Your participation in the George Family Orthodontics SMS Messaging Program is governed by our Privacy Policy

Mobile information, text messaging consent, and opt-in information will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

10. No Medical Emergencies

The SMS Messaging Program is not intended for emergencies, urgent medical needs, diagnosis, or individualized medical advice.

Do not send urgent health or treatment information by marketing text message. Contact our office directly regarding orthodontic concerns. In an emergency, call 911 or seek immediate medical attention.

11. Program Changes and Termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the SMS Messaging Program, these SMS Terms of Service, or the types of messages sent at any time.

We may also terminate or restrict participation if we believe a participant has violated these terms, used the program unlawfully, or interfered with its operation.

Updates will be posted on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, George Family Orthodontics will not be liable for delayed, failed, misdirected, incomplete, or undelivered messages; service interruptions; device incompatibility; carrier actions; or damages arising from your use of or inability to use the SMS Messaging Program.

Nothing in this section limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Governing Law

These SMS Terms of Service will be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where federal law or another applicable law controls.
