Meet Dr. Raymond George, Sr.

Dr. Raymond George, Sr. attended Brown University, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (Cum Laude) and Boston University Graduate Orthodontic School. He was honorably discharged as a Captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corps in 1968 and has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics since 1975.

Dr. George has lectured at a number of orthodontic schools and meetings in the U.S., Canada and Mexico on surgical orthodontics, functional appliance therapy and temporomandibular disorders (commonly known as TMJ). Dr. George is past president of many dental associations, including the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, the Rhode Island Dental Society, the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics and The American Association of Orthodontists Foundation. Nationally, he has served on a council, committees and task forces of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). Dr. George served as the AAO President from May 2008-May 2009.

Dr. George has co-authored two articles in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (a referred journal).

Recently, the Massachusetts Association of Orthodontists presented to him the Frederick M. Moynihan Memorial Award for his dedicated service and outstanding contributions to the field of orthodontics.
