Dr. Raymond George Jr. attended Colby College, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry.
Dr. George Jr. has lectured in the northeast to dentists, physicians, hygienists, dental assistants and school nurses.
His areas of interests include early interceptive orthodontic treatment, orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint treatment and accelerated osteogentic orthodontics.
Dr. George Jr. has served on various councils and committees for the Rhode Island Dental Association, Rhode Island Orthodontic Association, Northeast Society of Orthodontics and the American Dental Association. He is also a past president of the Rhode Island Dental Association and the Rhode Island Association of Orthodontics. As a past board member of the Pawtucket community Counseling Center and Seekonk Education Foundation. Dr. George Jr. feels strongly about community involvement. He has coached pop warner football and little league baseball.
His avid interests include scuba-diving, deep sea fishing, tennis and traveling.
"To me, the orthodontic profession is part science and part magic. To be able to give someone a smile they've never had, and see the look on their face when they see their new smile for the first time after having their braces removed, can be overwhelming. To be able to do that for someone has to be magical."
